Hutch Stretch Will Be Closed For Parts Of Three Days During Construction Work

A section of the Hutchinson River Parkway will be closed on three separate days during construction.

The Hutch closure is planned on the northbound Hutch at Exit 26W (I-287) in Harrison daily, from Monday, May 20 through Wednesday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.

The closure is planned on the northbound Hutch at Exit 26W (I-287) in Harrison daily, from Monday, May 20 through Wednesday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.

Motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Exit 26E and anticipate possible delays, the New York State Department of Transportation said.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
